Thursday, November 21st
Join us on Thursday, November 21st at Mike Duffy’s in Kirkwood as GTU welcomes Brian Sloss, fly fishing guide on the Eleven Point River.
This is a free meeting and GTU will cover the cost of pizza, salad and soft drinks.
Brian has been a guide on the river since 2004 and no one has logged more hours guiding on this beautiful river.
The Eleven Point River runs mostly through US Forest Service land and is, therefore, largely undeveloped. You will not see cabins and resorts along the banks; just forest, bluffs, springs, wildlife and hopefully, plenty of fish. The Eleven Point river boasts some of the prettiest rainbow trout in the Ozarks, with average fish between 12-15 inches. There are plenty of 20+inch 'bows as well as excellent smallmouth fishing!
This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the Eleven Point as well as pick Brian's brain on how to get more fish in the net on this great river!
Doors open at 6pm and we will get started at 6:30pm.
